Orthopaedic Physiotherapist – Full-Time – Canberra

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering physiotherapy services across Residential Aged Care and home-based RITH programs. Support older Australians through personalised rehabilitation, mobility improvement, and post-surgical recovery to enhance independence and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for residents in RACFs
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans focused on mobility, pain management and fall prevention
• Deliver individual and group exercise programs to improve strength, balance and function
• Conduct falls risk assessments and prescribe mobility aids where appropriate
• Collaborate with care staff, GPs and allied health professionals to ensure holistic resident care
• Educate residents, families and staff on safe mobility and rehabilitation strategies
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with aged care standards and compliance requirements

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy
• Full AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
• Experience in residential aged care (highly regarded)
• Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, resident-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Current driver’s licence
• Fluency in Vietnamese, Cantonese or Mandarin (highly desirable)
