Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within community and home settings.
- Develop and implement individualised, client-centred intervention plans to improve independence and functional capacity.
- Assess home environments and recommend modifications, assistive technology, and equipment to enhance safety.
- Support clients in achieving goals related to daily living, mobility, self-care, and community participation.
- Provide education and practical strategies to clients, families, and carers to promote long-term independence.
- Complete functional assessments and contribute to clinical reports as required.
- Collaborate with GPs, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and community services.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience delivering services in community or home-based settings (preferred).
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a community-based caseload.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
