Support provided by our Music Therapists can improve physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual health.
They focus on improving your health and wellbeing through the use of music.
Our Registered Music Therapists (RMT) are available as part our Residential Aged Care services.
They will develop a personalised care plan taking into account the person’s goals, lifestyle and general health.
Music Therapy is ideal for people living with neuro-degenerative diseases including Parkinson’s or with dementia, as well as helping individuals who are recovering from a stroke – or those who feel socially isolated. You do not need to have previous musical ability to benefit from Music Therapy.
Depending on the individual’s needs, Music Therapy can help address areas such as neuro-rehabilitation (cognitive and behavioural, communication, physical), anxiety and depression, sleep difficulties, pain, nausea, isolation, grief and bereavement, or social and emotional well-being.
